After 20 years as childhood sweethearts, Grace Parker files for divorce from Nick Miller in the third year of their marriage. She believes their love has long been worn away by the trivialities of daily life. But when Nick looks at the divorce agreement and wedding ring she hands him, he suddenly goes mad and tries to trap her by his side.
